On behalf of Cingular Wireless, Burton is scheduled to speak at Shelby County High School in Columbiana, Ala. on Thursday, April 26 regarding Cingular’s “Be Sensible” safe driving program. NAPA looking?
NAPA looking? hearing that NAPA Auto Parts is looking at options for their sponsorship in the Nextel Cup Series. NAPA has been the sponsor for Michael Waltrip in the Cup Series since 2001, first with the #15 DEI Chevy, then since 2006 on the #55 car. Supposedly NAPA is talking to Richard Childress Racing as a possible replacement sponsor for Cingular, should AT&T not win its lawsuit against NASCAR to have the AT&T decals put on the #31 Chevy AND with Roush Fenway Racing as a sponsor for the #16 Ford Greg Biffle drives. Burton to Present at CMT Music Award Show
Before heading to Phoenix International Raceway for the running of the Subway Fresh Fit 500, Burton will attend the 2007 CMT Music Award Show this evening in Nashville, Tenn. On behalf of State Farm, Burton will present the Video Director of the Year award along with country music artists Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift. Burton classy in both driving style ... and victory
FORT WORTH, Texas -- He's done it again. On Sunday, Jeff Burton made a clean move on the racetrack and showed why he's the model citizen in a town that's gone corrupt with violence. For three weeks people wondered why Burton didn't punt Kyle Busch as the two came to the white flag at Bristol. Burton's nose was inches away from Busch's rear bumper as they came off Turn 4, but he let off. His nose was inches away coming through the final turn, but Burton stayed low -- so low that he likely lost momentum that could have carried him to victory. He didn't try to wreck Busch.
